The Kiwanis of Old Town Club hosts two annual fund raising events in order to give major gifts to the Kids Clubs of Northern Shenandoah Valley and a couple of other local charities:
1) An 18-hole Mini-Golf Family Tournament that also serves a “Hotdog Dinner”, a 50/50 drawing and a general raffle of donated gifts.
2) A Bowling Tournament with all ages welcomed. Shoes and the bowling ball are provided. We give trophies to the best bowler, the best team, the best boy and girl under 12 years of age and “turkey trophies” to all who roll a 3-strike Turkey.
Our Club provides dinners to the Kids Club staff, kids and their parents at least twice per year – the biggie is the Christmas Dinner.
We also have a group of members who provide reading services for the Kids Club.
