Kid’s Club of Northern Shenandoah Valley
Kiwanis of Old Town has supported the Kid’s Club of Northern Shenandoah Valley for several years. Our fund raising (Mini-golf and Bowling events) have focused on them and we are now working with members for reading sessions. We are also arranging on having a regular class for teaching oragami (to both the kids and staff)!
Dinner events on Friday Nights (no specific schedules)
April 26, 2024 – It was “grillin’ and chillin’ ” with hot dogs and burgers hot off the grill this Friday at 5pm for the kids and families of the Kid’s Club of Northern Shenandoah Valley. “Old Town Todd” will be manning the grill. We will see if we can talk him into doing cheeseburgers! See you there.
Semi-annual Dinner – Every December it’s Lasagna for Kids and Family
We provide a special dinner at the their center as a wonderful way to foster community and provide a warm, welcoming environment. Lasagna, green salad, warm and comfortable buns and at the end of the table – all eyes are on the large, chocolate-chip cookies or a beautifully decorated cake. “You have to eat your dinner first!” Oh, I almost forgot – Gift bags for all of the kids.
This is what the Kid’s Club is all about. Helping children to grow inside and out. We are doing what we can to aid the Club in accomplishing those goals. These posters show them and us what that means.
